Due to the severity of Omicron, many countries took extreme measures with strict lockdown and even border shutdown which caused Subarnajatra to pause its journey after travelling through 27 countries. When the pandemic situation came under control, the Russia-Ukraine instability, moreover the restrictions to travel through Russia has extended this pause of ‘the pigeon’.

But Subarnajatra team believes that, we will overcome all difficulties and start our convoy again towards Bangladesh, soon. Stay tuned!

Subarnajatra or Golden Journey to Bangladesh, is a motor home (RV) that started its journey from Norway towards Bangladesh, on October 12, 2021 celebrating golden jubilee of independence. The rally will take part in many events in 50+ countries, meeting NRB communities and International Media before crossing approximately 40,000 km and reaching Bangladesh. A first attempt by Bangladeshis’ to travel through parts of Europe and Asia with a branded motorhome.

Subarnajatra is organized by a Sweden based international non-political and non-profitable social development organization ‘Chinta O Chaka’ formed by a group of patriot Bangladeshis living in different parts of the world who possesses their motherland in their heart ignoring self-interest. Volunteers from around the world are taking part to make this event successful. Subarnajatra welcomes everyone to join under the umbrella following one or all the cause of this campaign.
